I am owner/artist of O'Tool Design Custom Tattoo and Gorilla Graphix. I attended Black Hawk College in 1989-90 studying commercial art and then attended and graduated from Universal Technical Institute of Omaha Nebraska in 1993 with a technical degree in commercial art. In 1994 I was introduced to the profession of tattooing and in 1999 ventured off and opened my first studio in Rock Island Illinois. In 2010 I opened O.D.2 specializing in tattooing, graphic design and screen printing. With over 4000 sq ft, it is at this 2nd location that I added Gorilla Graphix which specializes in logo design and screen printing. In 2011 my wife Melody and I started a volunteer project in the U.S. Virgin Islands namedHonest Intentions focusing on volunteering efforts to clean up St Croix. Since 2011 we have had 7 island clean ups gaining momentum with news exposure and great reviews, most in part by the many volunteers who have joined us that live on island.
