During his tenure, more than $850 million in new contracts were secured and renewal contracts totaled more than $1 billion. Waste Pro is Central Florida’s second largest privately-owned company. At Waste Pro, he created and executed the corporate Brand Communications Program, which includes corporate-wide internal and external communications as well as local, state, and national media relations, advertising, professional sports sponsorship strategy and negotiations for three NFL teams and three NBA teams, digital and social media content, online sales, collateral literature development and commercial sales co-marketing. Prior to joining Waste Pro, Pecora owned Pecora & Pecora, Inc., an award winning marketing communications (advertising, public relations, public engagement) company for twenty years. The company served public and private clients including municipalities, public agencies, commercial developers, local and national general contractors, and financial institutions.Early in his career, Pecora was the marketing director and corporate communications director for a consulting engineering firm (PBSJ) with 50 offices throughout the Southeast. He rose from Reports Editor to VP of Marketing and stockholder during a ten year period.
