Ensuring artwork is correct to guidelines and ready to go to print. Also checking grammar, colour separations cutter guides and correct specification for relevant print process. Clients include Morrisons, Asda, Sainsbury, Muller.

Quality Control in the packaging industry. Role included checking correct colour splits, cutter guides and following correct guidelines. The majority of the role, however, was proofreading. Clients included Marks & Spencer, Asda and Estee Lauder. On the Estee Lauder account I was the brand guardian, in permanent contact with their New York office.

Head Proofreader, consisting of a team of four proofreaders (three on day shifts and one on night shift). However, the position entailed more than just proofreading. I had the responsibility of ensuring work was ready to go to print, often also checking impositions, correct colour splits, amendments in pdf format and annotating pdfs. There was also a variety of work for the internet which I had to proofread. Clients included Barclays, HSBC, Halifax, Department of Education, Superbreak and Luxurybreak. Also various report and accounts including Leeds Building Society, Furness Building Society and Communisis.

Proofreader/Quality Control dealing with high volume holiday brochures, mainly for Airtours. Other clients included Grattan, La Redoute and Great Universal Stores. As quality was of paramount importance, this was a challenging role in that the work was being done to tight deadlines.
