I love the people of this wonderful neighborhood church. Since I believe all Christians are ministers, I prefer to speak, not of what I did at these churches, but of what we did together. During the eight years I was called to work with the people of these two yoked churches in rural Illinois, we all learned to laugh and cry together, and to love one another deeply. We reached out to our community through a variety of children's, youth, and family programs. We worked in partnership with other local churches on Bible schools, ecumenical worship services, and community service projects. And we were blessed to welcome many new members and friends into our two churches while baptizing both children and adults into the Christian faith. Show less

During my final year of seminary, I served as the Youth Director for over 60 middle schoolers while learning a lot about the art of ministry from this large parish's dynamic Rector, the Rev. Bart Sargeant.

As a ministry intern at this suburban Sydney yoked parish of the Uniting Church in Australia, I was blessed to preach and lead worship weekly, offer pastoral care to parishioners, teach Bible studies, work with a full range of church committees, and serve as a chaplain at the National Christian Youth Convention (the Uniting Church's equivalent to the Presbyterian Youth Triennium), all while falling in love with the Great South Land of the Holy Spirit and its beautiful people.

As a tentmaker, I lead the youth of this NCD (New Church Development) in faith formation, fellowship, fun, and service.

Taught English as a Second Language to adult students from all over the world, with a particular focus on students from Korea.
