After 4 years of post high school education I decided I was bored with classes such as man in the poetic mode. Realizing I was wasting my time, I focused on my strengths & interests. The interest was things that need to be built and my strengths were working with people in a team concept.The first lead me to Local #20 sheet metal union were my father and other relatives worked.I learned a lot and was apart of this good organization for 14.5 years. This satisfied my need to build things but only allowed me to use my people skills from a superintendents position. Needing to expand on my leadership and people skills, I took a position as a sales and project manager of a large Central Indiana Roofing contractor. There my ability to work with others and achieve common goals at a high level lead to me being named Vise president of sales after 4 years. Two year later I was hired in 2001 to run a start up Roofing Company. That roofing company, Horning Roofing and Sheet Metal currently employees a staff of 60 roofing, 18 sheet metal, 1 carpenter 11 office personel. We are focused on supply good jobs for hard working people who strive to serve customers as best we have learned to date.
