About Ron Prasad

I am a MBA Graduate from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University and Instructor at Langara College. My teaching philosophy is based on active learning, which involves asking students to solve problems, ask compelling, meaningful questions, and engage in critical thinking. My learning environment encourages student development individually and through teams under conditions that generate both positive interdependence and individual accountability. I believe that establishing a rapport with students and creating an atmosphere conducive to learning is as important as having command over the subject matter. It is imperative to create a space where it is safe to express ideas and bring different perspectives to light. My ultimate goal in my teaching is to train competent future managers and responsible citizens in the business community.
