Developed and increased the membership of the institute to include : housing consultants, housing managers, major supportive housing developers, state agency representatives, consumers, and family members; involved these members in quarterly meetings to showcase recent renovations and to hear invited presenters from OHFA, OCCH, and ODOD explain the variety of funding opportunities for housing Initiated meetings focused on cost containment methods such as prefabricating components, performing scheduled maintenance, and staged rehabilitation of units Audited the operational grants and the competitive grants awardedto the Adult Care Facilities throughout Ohio; approved the receipts and examined the repairs or improvements made to the homes ; prepared the summary report for the Ohio Department of Mental Health Organized a campaign to increase and preserve supportive housing in Ohio by presenting the advocacy program to consumer groups and community leadership groups. Demonstrated how to participate in community planning, and how to effectively direct political support Provided consultation throughout Ohio to county agencies on procedure to obtain Federal, state, and local financing for permanent supportive housing projects Maintained continuous monitoring of expenses relative to assigned budget Prepared semiannual reports describing the attainment of the assigned and stated goal and objectives for the Ohio Department of Mental Health Located appropriate housing in group homes, nursing homes, or independent living for 4 clients per week
