Reporting directly to the Safety Manager for North America managing a workforce of approximately 1800 non-unionized and unionized employees over 40 different locations across Canada and North East USA.In this role we have reshaped the health and safety program by:• Reduce the overall claims cost nationally by greater then $400,000, in Ontario we turned a $250,000 surcharge into a $81,000 rebate• Implemented an effective claims management with a structured return to work / modified duty program • Education programs to Senior Managers on roles and responsibilities • Aligning programs to fit the model of the Internal Responsibility Systems • Education of Senior Centre Management on Health & Safety philosophies • Implementation of structured reviews of field level health and safety programs to support accountability and implement a system of continuous improvement

Reporting directly to the Director of RNC managing a unionized workforce of approximately 400 employees over 5 Centre in Ontario. In this newly created role of the organization, we were successful in developing complete Health & Safety program consisting of policy, procedures, preventative maintenance, inspection and investigation programs supported by customized Health and Safety training for field and Senior Managers. The successful completion and execution of the program enabled use to pass the Ontario WSIB Workwell initiative on 2 separate occasions and divert a third audit.

Reported directly to the Divisional Vice President with dotted line to Canadian Health & Safety Director. The position had two direct reports overseeing environmental, health, safety and driver training initiatives for approx. 450 unionized employees in seven cities in southern Ontario. This position was also actively involved in claims management processes associated with workers compensation, property damage and vehicle related insurance claims.

Reported directly to the Canadian Risk Manager, responsible for the management and development of personal injury claims control protocols for all levels of management across Canada consisting of approximately 3500 employees. Organized, amalgamated and structured the various provincial WCB payroll/revenue accounts which resulted in a bottom line saving of $500,000. Created and successfully implemented a claims management program which developed into reduction of claims cost by $1.5 million Researched, purchased and implemented a Claims management software to formulate a foundation for a sound data management, claims management and cost control and trending reports.
