Formerly the Principal Engineer in Development Control with Macclesfield Borough Council and Cheshire County Council prior to the establishment of Cheshire East Council. I was responsible for all matters within the Authority regarding the highway input to planning applications, Section 38 Agreements, Section 278 Agreements, Section 106 Agreements, and responsible for the supervision and inspection of roads and sewers for adoption by the Highway Authority, discussions/negotiations with Statutory Undertakers and Contractors on site in relation to the above matters of responsibility. Served 40 years in Local Government and spent many years prior to that with a firm of Chartered Civil and Consulting Engineers dealing with engineering matters for private and Local Authority Clients.Time-served in an Architect's practice dealing with all aspects of private residential extensions and new-build.I have an ONC in Building Construction; an ONC and an HNC in Civil Engineering and Land surveying.
