Run a business of four Residential Care Homes for the Elderly (RCFE) in Mission Viejo, CA caring for 24 elderly residents. Manage a staff of 15 caregivers, providing training and daily supervision and problem solving along with a full time Administrator. Create a culture of kindness & respect that provides dignity, compassion and empathy for the elderly we serve and supportive, cooperative teamwork among caregivers where they feel support from one another, and pride and fulfillment from enriching the lives of the elderly we serve. Provide close communication with residents' physicians, including taking them to all medical appointments, identifying and describing any change in condition and communicating this with families and involving them in appropriate action decisions.Meet with families facing the difficult deisions when an elderly person needs assistance with activities of daily living, for whatever reason, and help them understand options and determine what is best for their loved one and other immediate family members.Maintain and continually improve facilities, including new construction, renovation and design to provide a modern, comfortable, esthetically pleasing home environment. Solve the continual maintenance issues that arise with such facilities.Insure all operating procedures and household conditions conform to CA Department of Social Service / Community Care License requirements, including appropriate record keeping.
