Along with co-host Jim Rumsfeld, this highly sarcastic "PM Magazine"-esque strip show took no prisoners, entertaining the audience but pissing off the broadcaster because they felt they had lost control due to our popularity. The show ran twice a week; Saturdays at 10:00pm and Sundays at 10:30pm until we were summarily fired after two years and 18 episodes (we read about our demise in the newspaper). Created by David M. Jones (who also produced, directed and edited). this show began my long and storied career (which continues to this day) working with David creating 100's of hours of content in all subject matters. "Real New Orleans" remains one of my proudest achievements working in this business.

Morning drive host of the 4-hour "The Ron Small Show" on all-talk WSMB. Long before Howard Stern entered the marketplace, my slogan "Get Yo' Ass Outta Bed" was controversial for the time, but the station management honored me with a billboard campaign. Subsequently we had the number one show for nearly two years, until the station was sold to WWL and all the talent was let go in one day. My last guest on my last show was the extraordinary clarinetist Pete Fountain.
