Selected by CEO (Brian Moynihan), reported to CEO and was on the 12-person BAC Management Committee. At one point, over 20% of BAC employees reported to me and were engaged in assisting customers in need during the mortgage crisis. Resolved residential mortgage repurchase claims, multiple federal and state government and DOJ lawsuits, private party litigation, and managed the servicing of current, delinquent and at-risk loans. Negotiated, settled and paid over $71 billion in fees, penalties and fines to resolve mortgage litigation issues. Developed and implemented operational capabilities and processes required by continuously changing (and often conflicting) government regulations and to eliminate government concerns around robo-signing. Assisted over 2 million customers to remain in their homes through identifying affordable and sustainable home payments.

BAML went on to recapitalize much of the REIT industry in 2009-2010 raising equity through the recently combined expertise of Merrill Lynch and simultaneously extending debt maturities through Bank of America. Integrating the expertise of these two teams, we achieved #1 market share by a large margin over other investment banks, but more importantly, we pro-actively assisted our REIT and real estate customers during their greatest time of need.
