Business Integration And Community EngagementBank Of America Jul 2014 - Jan 2018Charlotte, Nc, UsImplemented CEO’s vision to make BAC a more local bank by delivering all eight lines of business in 90 key markets throughout the United States. The 90 Market Presidents dual reported to me. Goal was to provide the Market Presidents with the tools, resources and infrastructure required to deliver the full services of BAC to their local customers, clients and communities. Led a dedicated team of 250 supporting the Market President network. Empowered with equal responsibility to set goals and measurement tools over the eight line of business leaders and the Market Presidents to insure they both drive business and engage with their communities and businesses at local levels. Developed systems to measure customer referrals between businesses and to drive best practices that make “Connecting with Each Customer” and “Delivering One Company” more efficient and successful. Increased the number of referrals across business lines from 1.0 million to 5.6 million over three years. BAC CEO and Management Team very committed to utilizing the Market President network and local approach to differentiate BAC from competitors. -
Legacy Asset Servicing (Las) ExecutiveBank Of America Aug 2011 - Apr 2015Charlotte, Nc, UsDivision created by BAC to resolve legacy mortgage issues following BAC’s acquisition of Countrywide Financial and Merrill Lynch during the financial crisis and the downturn in the US housing markets. Selected by CEO (Brian Moynihan), reported to CEO and was on the 12-person BAC Management Committee. At one point, over 20% of BAC employees reported to me and were engaged in assisting customers in need during the mortgage crisis. Resolved residential mortgage repurchase claims, multiple federal and state government and DOJ lawsuits, private party litigation, and managed the servicing of current, delinquent and at-risk loans. Negotiated, settled and paid over $71 billion in fees, penalties and fines to resolve mortgage litigation issues. Developed and implemented operational capabilities and processes required by continuously changing (and often conflicting) government regulations and to eliminate government concerns around robo-signing. Assisted over 2 million customers to remain in their homes through identifying affordable and sustainable home payments. -
Global Head Of Real Estate, Gaming And Lodging Investment Banking (Regl)Bank Of America Merrill Lynch Jan 2009 - Aug 2011Charlotte, Nc, UsWas one of only three BAC senior leaders selected to head an Industry Group at the combined post-merger Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML); the rest were taken by Merrill Lynch leaders. During the financial crisis, reduced combined personnel by 50%, identified the best investment bankers to balance the team and established a positive, customer-oriented culture in a challenging social and financial environment. BAML went on to recapitalize much of the REIT industry in 2009-2010 raising equity through the recently combined expertise of Merrill Lynch and simultaneously extending debt maturities through Bank of America. Integrating the expertise of these two teams, we achieved #1 market share by a large margin over other investment banks, but more importantly, we pro-actively assisted our REIT and real estate customers during their greatest time of need. -
