Affected by the declining economy and loan losses, AmeriCredit laid off over 1,000 people during the recession, myself included, Managed a territory of 80 auto dealers with a keen focus on securing contracts complying with established risk and profitability models. I also implemented a non-prime core product, as well as selling and training business partners on new lease and specialty prime products.

Responsible for signing, training and managing a client network of over 200 automobile dealers in territory. Developed and managed strategic plans for loan and lease programs. Effectively gathered, analyzed and interpreted competitors programs, products and strategy. Created and implemented training programs for dealer-partners.

Developed profitable dealer network in new territory achieving successful auto loan growth. Reviewed credit bureaus and retail installment contracts for purchase. Provided education and training for dealer-partners on loan policies, procedures and guidelines. Generated reports on auto sales trends and competitive analysis, as well as provided direction for changes and additions to loan policies and rates.

Responsible for the sale and implementation of Credit Union Direct Lending platform, including ancillary products Fleet Auto Buying Program and branded Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP). Developed and maintained a network of more than 130 auto dealers in assigned territory. Coordinated joint credit union visits with dealer-partners to promote profitable relationships.
