I was part of a small team who responsible for the management of two Contractors who were contracted to build of a number (approx 20) of carbon steel and LNG tanks.Also responsible for daily interface with both Contractor Groups and the due dilligence of safety performance and behaviour at all work fronts.Quarterly review and approval of new and existing SWMS in particular those for high risk activities and night works.Weekly review and authorisation of the Contractor Area Permit to Work applications including other miscellaneous day to day Permit to Work applications such as Work at Height and Confined Space Entry Involved with planning and monitoring of hydrotesting of completed tanks.Perform weekly site inspections and audits with the client - INPEX, and attend incident investigations.I was also the Tanks Objective Champion for RFT (Materials/Equipment preservation )

West Angelas Mine

My responsibility as the RTIOPD Site Safety Rep was to provide support and guidance to the onsite Contractor and to engage with their onsite responsibilities to RTIOPD. To monitor governance obligations such as the understanding and compliance of the RTIO Standards, Policies and Procedures. To also be the conduit between the Contractor and Operations group.To ensure that all outstanding actions from audits, incident investigations and FPP are closed out with quality actions and in a timely manner.

Port Hedland

A Perth based role which required site visits every week to provide OHS support to four separate project safety teams established along the project site which was approximately 350 kms in length. I was also responsible to support the Project HSSE Manager with the site safety management. Timely and correctly completion of contractor site audits and incident reporting. Assist each teams with incident management amongst numerous OHS related matters.At the completion of the R2G Rail Project I then transferred to Port Hedland as the Safety Superintendent at the Boodarie Stockyards (Quantum Outer Harbour Project) I held this position until September 2012 when the project was then put on hold by BHPBIO.

Ugl - Pluto Lng Project, Burrup Peninsula - Karratha

My role was to manage the day to activities of the site safety team and assist them with OHS management in the field, this also included daily/weekly site inspections, incident investigations and reporting, participation in risk reviews and develop SWMS from those reviews. I reported to the site Safety Manager to ensure that our contractual safety obligations to the client were met in a timely manner which included weekly and monthly reporting.UGL were the main contractor for the erection and install of the train.

Anderson Point - Fmg Port Hedland

Pilbara Logistics had a small crew on this project responsible for the materials handling for FMG. The team was only a small group which handled all incoming materials (small & large) which were maintained in laydowns areas on site until they were required for construction upgrade / installation. Due to downturn of the economy at the time further expansion works were suspended. The team remained on site for a short period of time after to complete the demobisation of redundant buildings and materials.
