In my current role as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, I play a critical role in the management and advancement critical deployed ICT systems for Defence, focusing specifically on backup and storage solutions. Part-taking as a senior member within a strong team of engineers has been a highlight thus far, along with system development and operational enhancement within the Defence sector. Highlights include:• Working on hardware proof of concepts, affirming integration with existing systems and setting a benchmark for future scalability and robustness.• Successful integration of NetApp storage solutions, working in tandem with security teams to bolster storage high availability, and meet heightened securit and performance standards• Work with the logistics team in Canberra to ensure ongoing smooth operations adhere to governance and compliance mandates.• Leverage technical expertise in VMware, Microsoft, NetApp and Veritas products, contributing ultimately to higher strategic initiatives and enhance system architecture and security.

As an Incident Response Engineer, I was entrusted with the critical task of formulating and executing Incident Response Plans (IRP) within the Defence sector. My role was to ensure robust cybersecurity through comprehensive analysis, remediation, and adherence to stringent information security standards. Achievements included:• Crafting Incident Response Plans, ensuring systems were secure and resilient against potential threats.• Applied key standards such as the Australian ISM, Defence DSPF, NIST SP800-61, and ISO 27000 series to maintain and enhance system compliance.• Coordinating closely with system owners, various stakeholders and technical teams to provide reasssurance during incident response efforts.• Conducted thorough system analysis whilst advising on remediation steps and efforts, driving continuous cybersecurity improvements.

As Systems Engineer for the JP9347 program, I enhanced the ADF's Joint Data Network by performing verfication and validaiton work on advanced tactical data links. My work supported the integration of systems across multiple sites and naval platforms. Key contributions included:• Led key workshops on virtualisation and firewall solutions on naval vessels.• Collaborate on the breakdown of the Functional Performance Specifications (FPS) to system upgrades with the Lead Engineer.• Craft site network and system configuration documents for installs, underpinning the key components of the program's infrastructure.• Manage engineer change proposals and support the sustainment of enduring legacy equipment.• Provide guidance on secuirty accreditation processes, communicating risks to the Project Manager and Lead Engineer.

As the first non-uniformed member within the Army ICT Security Office, I was entrusted with the critical role of overseeing the vulnerability and patch management for Army IT/OT systems. My tenure was marked by:• Providing cybersecurity counsel to senior Army groups and members.• Anaysis and uplift of security vulnerability policy, guided by the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and the Australian Information Security Manual (ISM).• Provide regular status reports on business critical data to national cybersecurity authorities, guided by metrics and maturity levels.• Provided foundational team building contributions to the A-ICTSO, setting direction for the teams further development and cybersecurity initiatives.

Within the LAND 4125 project, my role as a Level 3 Systems Engineer was central to the deployment of the Army's interim network, with my efforts encapsulating:• Configuring and deploying over 200 subordinate system builds, optimizing the functionality of key network and server equipment.• System integration, underpinned by configuration and testing against Defence standards• Proactively troubleshooting, enhancing system reliability and performance• Maintaining integrity of crucial security and system operations software

Senior Technical writer within LAND 4125 Project, developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & Knowledge Articles (KAs) to assist both the project and the Defence Force Schoolf of Signals (DFSS) with crucial traning and instructions for a new Deployed ICT System.• Timely delivery of a comprehensive technical enduring documentation suite, integral to the project’s foundational phases.• Collaboration with security consultants and key stakeholders to assist achievement of ICT Accreditation.• Contributed to the technical accuracy of a new Learning Management Package, designed to impart essential knowledge and skills to trainees at the Defence Force School of Signals.

During a vital transition period and undergoing a 'roll-up strategy', I supported Zenitas Healthcare with the IT integration of multiple healthcare entities. Key achievements included:• Streamlined the transition to a Telstra/VMware AirWatch Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, fortifying device security and asset management.• Developed a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), assisting the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO)• Aided in forming a Change Advisory Board (CAB), maturing change management processes in the evolving healthcare group.• Implemented cost-saving strategies in asset management, and navigating vendor relations to optimise procurement and cut equipment waste in legacy systems.

As an Information Systems Technician for the Australian Army, I managed IT and communication systems, ensuring secure and reliable operations. My primary achievements included:• Leading a team to maintain communications during deployments, focusing on operational integrity and data security.• Managing IT infrastructure in field and office settings, response for system maintenance and security policy enforcement.• Addressing and resolving security incidents.• Adapting to high-pressure situations to delivery effective support and maintain mission-critical systems.

As a Financial Analyst, I acted as the key liaison among advisory clients, investment managers, and our internal team. My role centered on analysing and managing client portfolio information to supprt & inform investment decisions.• Provided essential support for investment-related operations and inquiries.• Work closely with business unit managers and directors to enhance communication and collaboration across the firm.
