Ron van Sluijs has a background in Architectural Engineering. He was born and educated in the Netherlands and worked as an Project Architect in Europe before migrating to Australia in 2002. He has been managing the architectural design, the design development and the documentation of a variety of large scale commercial buildings including sport stadia, airport terminals, convention and exhibition centres, subway stations and a number of office blocks. Ron is currently working on the 60.000 seat cricket stadium in Delhi. A development next to the new F1 race track which opened in 2011. Previously Ron worked on Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, New Zealand. The world’s first fully enclosed natural grass pitch rugby stadium. He has also worked on a range of projects in Asia, including the Taipei Dome - a baseball stadium which forms part of a large commercial development in Taiwan; Manila Arena - a 50,000 seat indoor arena in the Philippines. Ron has specific design skills in technical aspects of architecture, particularly envelope and structural design analysis and detailing. Furthermore he has the ability to lead large architectural documentation teams.
