About Ron Vance
I have been working freelance in the entertainment design industry since 1999. I went to Art Center College of Design to refine my skills in this field. I interned at Thinkwell Design and Production, which lasted for two terms and then I worked there after graduation for two more years. This lead to a long-term contract job at Walt Disney Imagineering where I worked on the Shanghai Disneyland project. I then worked at The Hettema Group for four and a half years on several exciting projects that are still under NDA. I am currently working freelance on various entertainment design projects.I specialize in theme park design and entertainment environments, using SketchUp (3D sketching) and more traditional design skills (2D sketching with pen and pencil, along with digital).I am currently creating my own entertainment worlds to be released in various formats, including stories and artwork. My future goals include branching out into the broader entertainment industry, starting an entertainment design and production studio, and designing my own theme park.
