My responsibilities were essentially "other duties as required" and include working on special projects like helping research and advise on improving development planning processes, researching how to improve Geoscience support, and a new project in our Low Carbon Solutions space, mentoring other team members, helping out where needed, leading the ExxonMobil IT recruiting effort at Georgia Tech, leading the UX recruiting effort at the School of Information at the University of Texas, and leading recruiting for UX contractors for the Upstream UX team.

As the Geoscience and Global Projects UX Lead, I coordinated and managed the UX team for the Geoscience IT and Global Projects IT teams, making sure that the UX team helped our geoscientists and engineers be more productive and effective. The team started with just two of us in October 2018 and grew to 10 designers and researchers by February 2020. We only had one person voluntarily leave the team while I was the lead.Along the way, we delivered millions of dollars in cost savings to the business including saving 40+ days of drilling time for deepwater wells in our premier field.
