As the Program Manager for Forestry in North America at Intertek, I lead the technical capabilities and accreditation processes of our forestry program. I support the Global Program Manager in maintaining up-to-date accreditation knowledge and ensure compliance with all relevant standards. My role includes providing technical direction to operations and sales, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering auditing services. As the Primary Client Point of Contact and Subject Matter Expert at SGS North America, I lead the performance and compliance of Accredited and Nonaccredited Sustainability Programs, specializing in Forestry schemes like FSC, SFI, PEFC, Chain of Custody, Lacey Act, and EUDR compliance. My role revolves around enhancing client experiences while ensuring top-tier performance and regulatory adherence.I collaborate directly with administrative teams and guide a team of over 20 auditors, localizing the implementation of SGS Global Product Procedures to meet the needs of hundreds of clients. Working alongside Key Account Managers, I decode, apply, and execute accredited sustainability standards, tailoring customized audit solutions to precisely match client objectives.Additionally, I actively participate in bolstering management systems through internal audits, management reviews, and continual improvement initiatives. I manage the entire auditor lifecycle—from selection and training to ongoing monitoring—ensuring a seamless and high-quality audit process.My core responsibility involves steering the complete accreditation process, comprehensively understanding accreditation requisites, meticulously preparing documentation, and orchestrating collaboration among diverse departments to consistently exceed stringent standards, thereby solidifying trust and confidence among our valued clients.
