As co-founder and CIO, I serve in multiple capacities, including Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager with accountability for developing and implementing a consistent and repeatable investment process for the long-only and alternative portfolio strategies, which entails monitoring a universe of 4,000+ stocks across small/mid, and large capitalizations, as well as identifying/researching/analyzing, and recommending investments for the proprietary portfolio strategy. In addition, I plan/formulate, and maintain the company’s investment research/portfolio management, and trading tools/ trading/compliance/sales, and marketing. I also draft the summaries of stock-specific reports/news, and events, including a comprehensive commentary of management/competitive, and financial performance, and valuation across all the market sectors and capitalizations.As of 2/02/2016, there is a patent pending for a research and analysis software tool-set that I designed, which allows access to investment research and portfolio management resources, in addition to all firm-wide functions, including marketing, trading, compliance, and performance.

In this role, I maintained accountability for four Russell sectors simultaneously, including Telecommunications/Technology/ Consumer Staples, and Utilities, to provide updates and recommendations for existing/potential $2+ billion portfolio (at peak) positions and weighting derived from a fundamental/bottom-up analysis. At one point, I also covered Consumer Discretionary. Subsequently I originated and co-managed the firm’s first sector-specific portfolio strategy (Technology). I generated and presented to the investment committee research reports validating recommendations, and served concurrently as Equity Analyst and Trader (2006-2007), and thereafter as back-up trader when needed.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Select notable results derived from my contributions, included:Investments that I recommended were implemented, proved pivotal to the firm’s increase in AUM by nearly 7-fold (at peak), and their achieving a 5-star mutual fund rating across its flagship Small-Cap Core Mutual Fund, receiving numerous industry accolades from Lipper/Morningstar and Barron’s, including earning its highest 5-/10-year relative performance levels, as well as ranking among the top-5 of all Small-Cap peers over the previous one-year period, and amid the top-15 of all Small-Cap peers over the preceding 5-year time period.I produced more than 70 research reports, including recommendations/valuation targets, and theses that contributed to portfolio attribution and an average annual long-only alpha in excess of 100 basis points (01/2006 - 12/2011).800+ basis points was added to portfolio attribution (within 12 months) from three top long-term technology stock picks I advocated.
