Extensive experience building sales teams and launching new technologies not just maintaining the status quo of an existing sales organization.During my 15+ years of management I have primarily worked for companies that were introducing new technologies or building new sales forces. As such, I have been involved in decisions impacting distribution channels, sales force structure, designing compensation plans, reimbursement coverage, selling into various distribution channels including Specialty Pharmacy, Payer HUBS, and Buy & Bill. At Mitek and Genzyme I was brought in to “turn around” underperforming regions. This required timely assessment and definitive action to address the complex issues impacting sales. Under my leadership both regions rose to be #2 and #1 regions in the country. As the first Area Director of Sales at Genzyme Biosurgery for a newly acquired product and sales force, I was closely involved with the strategies developed and implemented in order to build a successful U.S. sales franchise.
