EBSD Analytical provides advanced microstructural materials characterization services, including texture analysis, grain size, misorientation and grain boundary analysis, phase ID and chemical composition. We utilize electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) and energy dispersive X-Ray spectroscopy (EDS) coupled to the scanning electron microscope to collect and analyze data from customer samples.With over 20 years experience in EBSD and EDS techniques, I have prepared and analyzed many thousands of samples, ranging from metal sputter targets to surgical stents to sub-micron thin film and microelectronic devices. One of our specialties is comparative analysis between 'good' and 'bad' parts. Prior to founding EBSD Analytical, I worked at EDAX/TSL as the analytical services lab manager. Along with running the lab, my responsibilities also included customer service, on-site software and hardware training, installation and trouble-shooting of systems.
