I have been in the aging field since 1977. My current goals are to help others who are serving the older adult population to be successful through the provision of quality, humanistic care. I am working with companies to ensure the integration, improvement and training of geriatric care managers (aging life care experts) and paid caregivers. My goal is to help emerging companies to maximize their return on investment in their company or service provision by offering the highest standards of care and working with those companies that are preparing for an exit strategy to maximize their value through internal preparation for purchase. I am also developing curriculum for training of care managers in private industry and in higher education. I am a founding member and longest termed past president of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (now Aging Life Care Association). I am a founding member and former Vice President of the Board of Directors of the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. I owned and operated Rona Bartelstone Associates a care management and home health care company from 1981-2008. I joined SeniorBridge as Senior VP of Care Management in 2008. In 2013 I formed Our Aging to take another step forward in my interest in later life issues from a different perspective, including my own age related issues.I have been active in local and national organizations as a volunteer for my entire professional career. I worked with local Jewish Federation, Alzheimer's Association, Jewish Vocational Services, NASW, ADRC, Elder Coordinating Council, and many more. Most importantly I have been and continue to be a family caregiver for multiple generations of my own family.
