In my current role as an Azure Data Engineer, I have successfully delivered data engineering solutions across various industries by designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines in the Azure cloud ecosystem. I have worked with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen-2, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Databricks to implement end-to-end data solutions that ensure secure, efficient, and scalable data processing for business analytics. Data Migration and Integration:Led the migration of client data from on-premises systems to Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) using Azure Data Factory (ADF). Implemented ETL processes to integrate various data sources and ensure smooth migration to the cloud, leveraging ADF's capabilities to automate, orchestrate, and monitor data pipelines efficiently. Data Transformation and Processing:Utilized Azure Databricks for data cleaning, transformation, and enrichment, applying business logic and complex transformations using Python and Spark. Implemented data quality checks and applied industry-specific standards to ensure the data met the highest standards for accuracy and integrity before loading it into data warehouses for reporting. Data Storage and Structuring:Designed and developed robust data models and schema in Azure SQL Database, ensuring data is structured for fast querying and analytics. Created stored procedures, indexes, and optimized tables for analytical processing, allowing for easy retrieval and aggregation of business-critical data. Cloud Architecture and Optimization:Worked on optimizing cloud data pipelines, improving performance by using SQL Server optimization techniques, and enhancing Data Factory pipeline performance. In my earlier role as a Jr. Software Engineer, I was involved in implementing data integration and analysis solutions for the agrochemical industry. The project focused on modernizing legacy data pipelines and enhancing data processing efficiency by leveraging Azure cloud services. Data Migration and Transformation: Led the migration of client data from on-premises databases to Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) using Azure Data Factory, ensuring the secure, scalable, and efficient storage of the data. I then utilized Azure Databricks to clean, transform, and standardize the data, ensuring it adhered to industry standards and client requirements.  Data Structuring and Storage: After transformation, I loaded the cleaned data into Azure SQL Database for structured storage. This made it easier for the client’s data analysts to perform complex queries and gain actionable insights.  Automation and Workflow Optimization: Automated the entire data processing workflow by setting up Azure Functions, which were triggered when new data was added to Azure SQL Database. This initiated Azure Data Factory pipelines, automating data movement and reducing manual tasks.  Industry-Specific Data Handling: Worked closely with the client to understand their specific needs in the agrochemical industry, ensuring that data processing pipelines were tailored to meet regulatory standards and business requirements.  Client Impact: The automation and optimization of the data pipeline enabled the client to gain better control over their data, leading to more informed decision-making and improved business.
