Plastic process engineer .Subcontractor plastic injection molding. Specializing in high tolerance insert molding of engineering resins for the aerospace industry, Department of Defense, and medical applications. I served a five year apprenticeship in the 70's and have continued in the field through custom, high speed thin walled automatics, pharmaceuticals, and have also manufactured in thermoset plastics, Compression, and Transfer molding. I was one of the first in the United States to be trained in Dyna Cast molding ( miniature pneumatic injection molding) . I enjoy doing my own set ups and first articles. My favorite shift is 2nd because when every one on day shift has had a turn on a perplexing problem I get my turn ! This is probably my most rewarding aspect of my career. It's all about the learning experience!
