Ronald M. Abramson brings considerable experience in the financial industry to bear in his work in the renewable energy sector. Prior to serving as CEO of NexGen Energy, Ronald spent over a decade as CEO of a specialized financial services company he built and owned, growing to over 1,200 employees operating in 22 states, where he was responsible for managing total assets exceeding $20 billion. After a corporate sale and merger, he became Vice-Chairman of a 2,000 employee national financial services operation managing over $40 billion in assets. Concurrently, he served as CEO of a highly regarded financial firm managing over $1 billion in distressed assets, which he continues in this role today. He is involved in a number of other exciting entrepreneurial business pursuits as well. This includes serving as CEO of Lockhart’s Authentic Grooming Company, one of the top artisan Men’s Grooming and fragrance manufacturing companies in the world with over 1 million retail sales. Lockhart’s features a renowned Handcrafted Division outside of Detroit, Michigan as well as a Custom Manufacturing Division in Houston, Texas (Lockhart’s Customs) manufacturing private label products for some of the most respected brands in the industry. Additionally, Lockhart’s Authentic has robust warehouse and distribution operations in Munich, Germany, igniting the handcrafted brand’s enormous popularity in Europe. He has acquired a number of other highly regarded brands in the grooming and fragrance space as well. Ronald was responsible for putting together one of the largest banking lender syndications in the United States for financing his financial services company operations, which included acquisitions of over $10 billion of distressed assets. The syndication involved 8 lender banks, including two of the largest banks in the U.S., led by Bank of America. Ronald has also served as President and CEO of Independence Biofuels, a cutting edge biofuels manufacturer committed to developing sustainable fuel solutions. Ronald’s deep business experience is matched by his relentless enthusiasm and dedication to the renewable energy sector and is exemplified by his service on the Board of Advisors for the George Mason University Center for Climate Change. He is also a regular Guest Lecturer at the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business to MBA, Juris Doctor and Master’s Degree students and has also taught at American University, Howard University and the District of Columbia School of Law.
