• Coordinate, train, and handhold would-be SAP superusers from Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam subsidiaries as part of SAP data migration requirements across several modules (SAP RE-FX, PM, MM, SD). To that end, also bridge the knowledge gap between superusers and SAP consultant/offshore support in resolving pre- and post-load data incidents or screen functional change requests (CR) as may arise

• Provided QA thought leadership for the shared services team to be at par with global data quality KPIs. To that end, also (1) oversee analysts in Chennai in the automation of data quality standard (DQS) reports for the Shell’s Upstream business through SAP Information Steward and (2) curate the content of the Upstream Data Quality Dashboard, a monthly publication sent to Shell’s upstream business

• Senior data auditor responsible for being the recognized data quality SME and global superuser for SAP PM data objects. To that end, also (1) conduct brownbag / KT sessions for MDM data analysts and (2) be the face of shared services in seeking business buy-in for various Quality Improvement (QIP) initiatives by leading the conduct of Cost of Poor Data Quality (COPDQ) studies and sharing the results thereof with the business; As a personal side project, I also automated the DQS reports for Shell’s downstream business through SAP Information Steward.

Houston, Texas

• Lead the then shared services outfit in Manila to assist in the data migration from SAP R/3 to SAP ECC for Shell refineries / petrochemical plants in the US; To that end, collaborate with SAP consultants in deployment team to assist each site data lead across all US locations go about the data conversion tasks (i.e. data cleansing, manual file preparations and pre- and post- load validations)

• Oversee 3 data analysts in the maintenance of SAP R/3 PM master data for Shell Deer Park, Texas refinery and petrochemicals plants; As well, I became the subject matter expert (SME) and trainor not only for SAP PM but also various CAP tools that interface with SAP (e.g. SPI, IDMS, AIM). On the business side, I was entrusted with the authorship of business controls to operationalize data quality.
