As the Supervisor of Waste GIS for Residential Waste Collection Services in Edmonton, I oversee a team of skilled GIS professionals. My role is pivotal in managing spatial data analysis, mapping, and geospatial technology solutions to ensure the efficient delivery of residential waste collection services.

Creating advanced geospatial applications and services to support Waste Services day to day operations

Providing Geospatial services to City Operations -Waste Services. Crafting applications to support such activities as field data collection, near-realtime monitoring of cart collections and information Dashboards using Esri technologies.

Instructing in the GeoSciences . Classes include Spatial Analysis, Cartography and technology classes based on Intergraph's GeoMedia Professional, GeoMedia Grid and GeoMedia WebMap Professional. These class are of 2 day (14 hr) offerings

To Provide strategic leadership to the organization in the development andimplementation of a strategy and business plan to elevate the role of data, information, strategicinsights and strategic partnerships which continue to evolve and contribute to the mandate of the Board. • This role is responsible for leading Planning and Cartography Teams in providing quality information, ensuring the overall quality, consistency, and accuracy of planning and zoning information that is used by City Council, the Subdivision Authority, and other stakeholders, and making sure the maps and zoning documents that the City and its partners use are accurate, functional, and professional.• Assigning and ensuring the preparation of statutory mapping requirements for Planning Approval Authorities within given timelines• Setting priorities to improve the delivery of quality services and operations by exercising broad vigilance to ensure that organizational goals are appropriately managed• Developing goals, objectives, and strategies for the work group, evaluating priorities, and assigning work• Determining strategies to facilitate the advancement of the use of GIS, cartographic, and desktop publishing technologies, while creating a progressive environment• Mentoring, coaching, training, and developing the technical staff within the section• Ensuring the production of quality zoning documents, cartographic materials and presentations in a high paced environment• Duties include mentoring and supporting Planning staff on best practices using Intergraph's GeoMedia Professional.• Supporting CityHall School explaining hour we "Map the City" to Elementary aged child multiple time during the year

Process re-design for the weekly update of City of Edmonton Sustainable Development's Zoning Atlas. Migrating from an manual process using multiple technology pieces to using Safe software FME product to deliver intelligent vector base PDF files.Duties include mentoring and supporting Planning staff on best practices using Intergraph's GeoMedia Professional.
