Hi, I’m Ronald, a PhD student in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (Natal, Brazil). Right now, I’m doing an exchange at the Jonesy Lab in the Chemistry Department at NYU (New York, USA). I’m really into fungal genetics and exploring RNA targets for drug development. My past work includes DNA extraction, PCR, PCR-RFLP genotyping, phylogenetic analysis, and handling pathogenic fungi—like isolating them from samples, keeping fungal collections, running antifungal tests, and in vitro virulence assays. I have degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Biology, with a focus on clinical analysis and medical microbiology.
