The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for planning and directing all internal operating functions involved with claims processing, customer service and related operational matters for Delta Dental of Missouri and its subsidiary, Advantica. Claims processing for dental and vision claims exceed 3.3 million claims annually. Customer service inquiries of 1.4 million contacts are handled by live agents, chat and IVR systems. This position directs the activities of a call center that supports group dental and vision insurance products across the enterprise.

Dr. Inge is currently the Chief Dental Officer/VP of Professional Services for Delta Dental Plan of Missouri. In this capacity, his responsibilities include all aspects of development and management of the dental and vision networks. He is the primary liaison with dental and vision providers. This includes the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures. He also provides oversight and guidance in the areas of utilization management and quality management program.

Responsible for the leadership and continued development of the Western Dental Quality Management Department. Provide oversight and implementation of the Western Dental Quality Improvement Plan. Represent Western Dental Services (WDS) in its interactions with the Department of Managed Health Care, Department of Health Care Services, the Dental Board and other regulatory agencies. Chair the Quality Improvement Committee, the Utilization Management Committee, the Peer Review Committee and the Credentialing Committee. Develop guidelines, indicators and thresholds for quality of care and service.

Involved in the original concept and development of the Institute for Oral Health (IOH). Primary responsibility in the development and implementation of the mission of the IOH to advance oral health care by identifying effective and efficient treatment practices and guidelines for the dental industry, and to promote these best practices by serving as a central resource for shared practical knowledge and collaboration to benefit the dental profession and the public. Oversees the development of conference topics, focus groups, and successful execution of annual conferences.
