Head of Due Diligence and Underwriting:• Conducted due diligence on over $13 billion in commercial real estate transactions representing 200+ transactions in office, industrial, retail, development, multifamily and hotels• Quantifiable issues discovered during due diligence produced savings in excess of $400 million• Responsibilities in due diligence included: abstracting leases, prepared operating and capital budgets, observed physical conditions, prepared Argus and Excel models, reconciled due diligence findings, coordination of attorneys and third party consultants, performed market research, negotiated with sellers, and supervised the closing process• Extensive network of third-party consultants in every discipline of physical real estate• Designed and implemented standardized financial analysis protocols and underwriting standards for evaluation of all potential investmentsAsset Management:• Direct responsibility for asset management of 22 office buildings representing over 3.5 million square feet in multiple states• Negotiated and executed leases for new and renewing tenants for a total of 1 million square feet representing 146 separate lease agreements• Networked with tenant representative brokers in each market to insure that each of my buildings surpassed market net absorption in leasing• Prepared all capital budgets and supervised all major capital projects from design to construction• Managed leasing broker teams and developed asset business plans to stabilize assets• Created annual business plans for each asset • Executed creative solutions for structuring lease terms in difficult leasing environments• Achieved the first LEED-EB designation for office buildings in the States of Texas and FloridaValuation:• Created and designed policies and procedures for quarterly fair-value valuations of each asset in our funds• Led a team of five vice presidents and seven analysts to prepare valuations
