• Performing a wide range of analytical tests on Incoming Raw Materials, In-Process Control samples and Final Product Release material, involving both the use of traditional chemistry techniques and the use of a wide variety of analytical instrumentation in accordance with the methods documented in approved procedures, protocols and guidelines from the pharmacopoeias.• Operation and maintenance of the following Analytical instruments: HPLC, GC, IR, TOC, KF, pH/Conductivity meter, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer and Polarimeter.• Use appropriate statistical techniques in the development, assessment and the interpretation of derived analytical data to formally clear/reject products, raw materials, packaging materials and laboratory results against the agreed Quality Standards to ensure the quality, safety and efficacy of the finished pharmaceutical products to the customer.• Investigate laboratory equipment failure, OOT and OOS results on non-conformances with appropriate rigour and contribute to the root cause resolutions.• Collaborate with other Laboratory personnel in the development, evaluation and preparation of the required documentation used in the laboratory, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), laboratory test methods and Analytical report sheets.• Review results of testing carried out by other Analysts and assist in maintaining the documentation systems of the laboratory to ensure that quality records are completed accurately.• Performing annual product quality review, trend analysis and generate trend analysis reports with recommendations.• Supervise process validation sampling and provide technical assistance with the creation and execution of instrument and method validation protocols.• Assist in cGMP, SOP and job skill training of Quality Assurance personnel and deputising as team leader when required.• Performing and maintaining good laboratory housekeeping, inventory stock control, chemical reagents and other consumables.

Such projects included domestic water purification and softening processes, wastewater treatment and analysis, alloy-in-slag retreatment processes.
