Officer In Charge (OIC) of the Camp Carroll Satellite Facility; a $18M heavy earth terminal in support of the DoD communications infrastructure for the Korean peninsula supporting over 50,000 personnel. Facility provided secure and non-secure voice, data and video services through 250+ circuits using terrestrial and satellite transmission mediums. Increased reliability rating from 76% to over 95% in 6 months. Conducted a $750,000 powers systems upgrade on budget and ahead of schedule. Saved the Army of $1.6 million through parts acquisition and maintenance adjustments over the course of 2 years. Site was awarded the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)-Korea facility of The Year in 2003 and 2004. Responsible for the Global Broadcast System (GBS) Theater Injection Point (TIP) that provided real time intelligence products to DoD agencies in Korea and the Pacific Area of Operations (AOR). Certified GBS TIP as operational and deployed for the first time in the DoD. Managed 24 personnel in day-to-day operations, facility maintenance and technical upgrades.
