Warehouse Manager
CurrentDuties: Accurately complete and record important information on all required paperwork including Inventory Sheets and Locator Cards when receiving and shipping shipments. Reduce damage claims by ensuring the proper handling of all households. Identify training opportunities and provide or schedule training for associates. Conduct weekly warehouse inspections. Support, train, and manage all assigned team members. Communicate and partner with Customer Services, Claims Department, and Dispatch for customer satisfaction surveys. Partner with Human Resources in identifying areas of opportunities and developing team members by creating effective policies and procedures. Maintain warehouse associates job performance by coaching, counseling, and correcting deficiencies, by planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Setup daily and weekly performance goals for warehouse associates. Inform senior managers and direct reports of warehouse action plans. Update and revise job descriptions with HR.Accomplishments:- The warehouse department yearly Storage in Transit (SIT) inbound volume is 3.1 million pounds of household with an accuracy rate of 98 percent.- Overall customer claims are down by 2 percent from the previous management team. - Scored a 96 on government warehouse inspections.- Manage a budget of millions of dollars in capital equipment and assets and lower the cost of labor and equipment upkeep.
