Director Of International Students Program
CurrentAs the Director of the International Student Program, Dr. Perry will oversee the IS program, manage day-to-day operations, and work in the clinics to assist the IS students. This would include reviewing and updating the IS program curriculum for the classroom, preclinical and clinical training. The Director will be working with Drs. Kasberg and Holloway in the Office of Admissions in selecting candidates during the IS admission process. In the year ahead, the new IS class (IS19) will begin in January rather than April (as IS18 did). This will require the new director to work in concert with the Dean of Academic Affairs to structure the curriculums for these two groupings of IS students. Dr. Perry will also be working closely with the Director of Predoctoral Clinical Education to ensure that our IS students are prepared for the clinical environment including axiUm training, clinical protocols, HIPAA and OSHA. He will also be working very closely with the Practice Coordinators, including as a “floating” Practice Coordinator to ensure IS students are scheduled appropriately to meet clinical requirements.
