Ronald Sternberg founded RCS 27 years ago, answering a business need for a marketing agency that knows how to bridge the gap between clients and their customers from other cultures. Ron is an insightful leader who has put his experience and expertise in cross-cultural marketing to work for some of the world’s most respected brands, including Visa, Tiffany, MINI, Paris Aéroport, Kewpie and more. A resident of Tokyo for almost 40 years, he began his career at Magazine House, one of Japan’s largest magazine publishers, working on editorial, advertising tie-ins, and marketing. His fluency in Japanese enabled him to serve as the liaison for the company’s many international projects, working on licensing, contracts and partnerships. This wide-ranging experience gave him a solid grounding in Japanese values, style, fashion and attitudes towards products and services from other countries. This background gave him the expertise to work with companies from all over the world, helping them to succeed in new markets. He has forged long-standing relationships with global clients, created marketing partnerships that have proven profitable for all parties. He sits on the board of the Visit USA Committee and is an advisor to Atout France, the French government tourist office. And in pursuit of his clients’ success he has racked up over 2,800,000 air miles. When he’s not shuttling between airports on the way to client meetings around the world, you’ll most likely find Ron searching out contemporary Japanese ceramic arts, relaxing in a traditional hot-spring resort or cooking a meal for a houseful of guests.
