I was a late starter in aviation as I had a professional (non-aviation) career following in my dad's footsteps. I have always been passionate about aviation and there were many great people along the way who helped me get to where I am today. I started my training in South Africa, getting my PPL there. I ended up doing the rest of my training here in the UK. I first worked at a flight training school in the UK having various roles in the operations and flying departments. I worked my way up the ladder to become an advanced flight instructor; teaching PPL, night, CPL, IR and MEP. I also then qualified as a FIC Instructor. I then joined a large flight academy and held various roles over the 5 years I was with them; ranging from flight standards manager to becoming the CFI. I joined the UK civil aviation authority in 2017 as a Staff flight examiner (Flight Ops Training Inspector). I love what I do and all the challenges that arise with the role. My current and future goals are all about improving my all-round skills and abilities. FE PPL/CPL,CRE (SEP/MEP), FIE, IRE, (SE/SP)/OPC
