Here’s an overview of our organization: • Facility Overview: VA Portland is classified as a Two-Division 1A complexity facility, offering a complete spectrum of care, including primary, emergency, specialty, tertiary, and long-term services. • Service Reach: • We operate 9 Community-Based Outpatient Clinics and a Community Resource & Referral Center, extending our services throughout the region. • Our catchment area spans 30,000 square miles, covering 26 counties and providing care to over 96,000 unique Veterans annually. • Capacity: • We have 167 Medical/Surgical beds, 80 Community Living Center beds, and 35 Residential Rehabilitation beds to support various levels of care. • Budget and Staffing: • Our annual budget exceeds $1 billion, with a workforce of over 4,000 employees dedicated to Veteran care. • Leadership and Oversight: • As part of the senior executive leadership team, I report directly to the Medical Center Director. • I provide oversight to the Deputy Director Strategic Business Unit (SBU), which encompasses over 500 employees across critical service areas such as: • Business Office • Environmental Management Service • Facilities Management • Fiscal Services • Police • Supply Chain Management • Safety • Strategic Planning This role ensures coordinated planning and response across all services, enhancing our capacity to meet the needs of Veterans and maintain high standards of care across our extensive network.

As a Program Manager host and provide critical information to the Service Chief, Associate Director, and Director to respond to Central Office Emergency Preparedness related correspondence and reported status of current and past requirements. Budgeted a fund control point and purchased Safety and Emergency equipment and supplies for Emergency Preparedness activities. -
