On March 27, 2015, Ron Given was appointed Managing Partner of Wolf Theiss Warsaw. He provided the strategic leadership responsible for a turnaround in Warsaw with over 50 shifts in personnel, a dramatic increase in revenues and profitability, and the transformation of the office into a real contender on the very competitive local market. The Warsaw office of Wolf Theiss is the firm’s second largest European office, second only to the home office in Vienna.Given was tasked with several critical management roles including local integration, implementation and compliance with the firm-wide branding, marketing (with a social media emphasis) and human resources best practices he previously established in Zagreb, Kyiv, and Prague (including a focus on the empowerment of female lawyers and staff), increasing local capacity for sustainable revenue streams, overseeing human resources and talent acquisition, pushing smart documentation development and furthering the firm’s reputation for accessibility, value, and dependability, all within budgets he personally developed.Ron also maintained involvement in all of the office's significant legal engagements, including the 2018 acquisition by China-based Hisense of the white-goods maker Gorenje, an important mandate he originated.

He thoroughly integrated the office into the firm, normalized the regulatory status of the office in a difficult pre-EU environment and developed the local talent, marketing strengths and management that permitted a seamless departure within his projected timetable. Ron's innovative solutions to the child care issues of his lawyers have led to the office being a continuing winner of Euromoney's Europe Women in Business Law Awards. Ron also maintained involvement with all significant office legal engagements, including advising: the Croatian government in connection with privatization projects, including the country's largest insurer; a global airport management company in its bid for the Zagreb Airport privatization; a Canadian concern on drilling rights concessions, a global trading conglomerate regarding CEE/SEE investments; an international operator in connection with the privatization and operation of the Port of Rijeka; a global financial firm on governance and other matters regarding its investment in one of Croatia's largest tourism enterprises; a Japanese concern regarding its Adriatic Sea tuna farm investments; and a listed US concern regarding its dispute with the Croatian Privatization Fund and exit from Croatia.

Ron Given assisted in the proper governance of a Swiss-based firm's US investments in Silicon Valley and elsewhere, including help with an orderly exit.
