Co-founder of a wireless environmental sense and control platform called Observos. Guided by my prior work experience and the user pain points from continuous environmental monitoring, I came up with a novel solution for climate monitoring for restaurants, greenhouses, cold storage and transport, etc. I recruited my co-founder to engineer the product around a set of user stories that met their needs. We built prototypes and validated our solution in a local restaurant, greenhouse, and homes. Using feedback collected from these customer environments we iterated over additional prototypes and were selected as finalists in the Engadget Expand "Insert Coin" competition in 2013. We launched a Kickstarter, and iterated further. The Observos platform was eventually unsuccessful in the market as we ran out of investment capital and incumbent players in the market built competitive concepts into their existing product lines more rapidly than we could penetrate the market.

Worked on Intel Blockscale Team to write technical documentation for our BonanzaMine 2 Bitcoin mining ASIC, supported corporate customer needs when integrating our silicon with their products, created test plans, tests, and executed validation on the hardware. Traveled to meet with customers to perform in-person power-on efforts of new hardware.

Led a team to create a sophisticated data-driven lab automation tool. The tool was engineered to collect deep system inventory, provision hardware, deploy environments, and execute batches of high density tests on extremely specific hardware/software configurations in bulk. Won an award for saving thousands of labor hours with hundreds of engineers using the tool monthly. Managed labor to meet development needs, purchased hardware to run the environment, and managed a cross-geo pool of equipment in 4 different countries working with individual lab managers to ensure uptime was maximized.

Created test plans, wrote test cases, and lead a team of 10 validators in the rigorous validation of Intel's database Ethernet products on multiple Linux distributions. Filed bugs and followed through with regular bug scrubs until resolved. Worked with Open Source Vendors to ensure our drivers met their criteria for inclusion in releases. Ensured customer reported issues were investigated and resolved. Championed improved mechanisms for validating software and hardware, created a novel tool to improve validation coverage and speed. Trained new team members, and new team leads in other areas of the company.

Performed Linux kernel validation on Intel's 10 and 40 gigabit enterprise Ethernet adapters. Worked on customer reproductions to resolve user reported issues. Worked directly with driver developers and kernel maintainers to rapidly iterate over patches to fix bugs, providing real-time development/validation cycles and paired programming sessions to ensure code is bug free and stable. Performed above job description in multiple areas, exceeding expectations. This resulted in a renewal of the contract. At the conclusion of the second contract, my team lead moved to a different team and the team manager extended a job offer to take my team lead's place as a permanent full time employee.

Worked with hardware engineering team to design a web interface to the embedded tool that was being built. Web interface was built to be a kiosk dashboard to customer requirements so employees could see real-time productivity statistics on displays throughout the building. Worked with hardware engineers, software engineers, and the customer to ensure final design exceeded expectations.
