I serve as an Advisory Partner for Academic Assembly, Inc. providing training and consulting services for institutions of higher education. My role within Academic Assembly is to provide SEVIS training for Designated School Officials and Responsible Officers, provide training on filing employment-based immigration petitions (H-1B, TN, O) and immigrant petitions (green cards), and provide guidance on taxation, withholding and I-9 completion. I also provide advice on developing international recruitment plans and managing global recruitment agency networks.

In the spring of 1999 I launched Immigration Concepts, an international education consulting service. Immigration Concepts offers training and consulting services for international offices, business, institutions that hire and pay international workers, and overseas recruiting agencies that recruit for the US market. I offer in-person seminars and eLearning courses on a variety of topics. My flagship program is Fundamentals of Foreign Student Advising, a three-day training workshop for Designated School Officials (held annually in Cincinnati). It is the most comprehensive training program in the field. My eLearning courses are perfect for professionals who may need training in specific areas of international education. For Designated School Officials and Responsible Officers I offer more than a dozen eLearning courses on topics ranging from Authorizing School Transfer, to employment, to I-20 issuance, reinstatement, and the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). For employers I can design seminars on hiring and paying international workers and I-9 employment eligibility verification (eLearning courses will be coming soon). For recruiting representatives we offer eLearning courses on recruiting for US institutions of higher education. Most recently, I have begun offering seminars on implementing and operating the Sunapsis International Office Module developed by Indiana University. It is the most effective tool on the market today for SEVIS compliance and international office management. In November 2007 we launched Sunapsis at the University of Cincinnati becoming the first institution in the US outside the IU system to operate Sunapsis. I am uniquely qualified to train institutional staff members on the use of Sunapsis and to design and implement eForms for institutional use. I have served as the Director of International Services at the University of Cincinnati for over 20 years. I am responsible for serving the needs of approximately 4,000 nonimmigrant students, faculty, and researchers. We operate the most comprehensive compliance based international office in the country specializing in Department of Homeland Security, Department of Labor, Department of State, and Internal Revenue Service regulations. We specialize in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) for students and exchange visitors, we process employment and permanent resident petitions, complete all I-9's for international workers, process tax treaty claim requests, and help manage our international recruitment strategy.
