CurrentSupport 24/7 emergency hazardous material/hazardous waste spill response Team. Respond within 90 minutes of spill notification incident and oversee the management and handling of all spill media; and prepare a report for each response. Research, gather, and complete documentation required for turn-in to Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services (DLADS), such as DA 1348-1A (issue release/receipt document), DRMS form 1930 and other information required for HW turn-in. Ensure all waste are properly containerized in accordance with Performance Oriented Packing Standards (POPS) and ensure all Department of Transportation (DOT) and other applicable regulations are met. Maintain records of form 1348-1A in accordance with EPA, DOT, and RCRA rules for record keeping. Maintain inventory of all packing material used for turn-in at DLADS, including drums, fiber board boxes, vermiculite, drum liners, plastic buckets, and any other material needed for turn ins and reorder supplies as needed.Maintain copies of all requisition documents used for purchasing supplies by the units/activities. Assist in the maintenance of two 90-day storage facilities in accordance with 40 CFR 262.34 to collect hazardous waste and immediately inform the Compliance Management Branch (CMB) of any potential non-compliance issues. Obtain samples of products for sufficient analytical testing for approximately 30 sampling events. Provide Environmental Compliance for the following activities specific to the waste storage program, including ensuring the Waste Storage Program will remain in compliance with Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) Regulations as it pertains to hazardous waste, environmental compliance monitoring and tracking.
