Planned and contributed to all district Professional Development sessions. District representative for JAMP and special education. Provided a district-wide lesson plan template and changed the district instructional focus (data driven). Served as a mentor to all new district administrators. Conducted PERA evaluations for all non-tenured teachers at the elementary level. Served as interim principal of Cairo Elementary. Conducted all interviews (certified/non certified) with the hiring committee. In these roles, I monitored and developed the day-to-day administrative, financial, and classroom learning activities. I provided continuing education and developmental opportunities for teachers and staff and negotiated contracts for building maintenance and physical location strategies. Wrote and received multiple grants and secured financing for district projects. I provided support and communication to community leaders and parents. Some of my key achievements: • I updated internet infrastructure, increased WiFi bandwidth, built a new computer lab, and provided each student with computer and technology access. • I created and implemented a fully remote learning plan and NWEA testing with PD for teachers to utilize during the 2020-2021 school year.• I implemented strategies that improved student enrollment from 120 to 185 in a two-year span and increased revenue by over $800K.

I served as the founding principal for a 6-8 school servicing high-risk students focused on the sciences, technology, and social-emotional coping skills. I supervised and performed formative and summative evaluations for 20 certified and 6 non-certified staff members and facilitated the incorporation of NEE and trauma-informed strategies in all classroom observations and instruction. • Key member and contributor to the LEA Strategic Planning, Student Management, and Curriculum Review Committees.

As the administrator of curriculum and instruction, I developed weekly lesson plan formats for effective planning and teaching. I created summative assessments for curriculum units and developed key benchmark assessments to monitor student academic progress. I improved teacher performance and student achievement through daily instructional coaching and support.

In this role, I supervised 23 teachers, 10 support personnel, and 422 students. I conducted all certified and non-certified teacher evaluations and monitored daily classroom instruction. I ensured a safe learning environment and handled student discipline. I organized fundraisers, facilitated PTA meetings, and provided accurate and timely communication to parents, educators, administrators, and community leaders.
