I am an entrepreneur with the goal to overcome the technical limitations of push-to-talk radios and create safer and more effective wireless communications systems. For over 30 years, I have created radio solutions, many times in Secret level capacities, for organizations ranging from Texas Instruments to the Titan Missile program, and from 3M to American Airlines.

In January 2015, Chicago-based OTTO, an electrical design and manufacturing company, acquired a minority stake in MULTIVOICE, the successor of Multi-Voice Radio, LLC, in return for a $5 million investment. Since then, our team has been designing and building wireless radio intercoms for the industries of construction, manufacturing, industrial, military, public safety and football coaches. Our solutions provide fearless individuals the ability to speak and be heard simultaneously on the same radio frequency without ever having to use their hands. Our first product, the MV-NEXUS, will begin shipping in July 2015.

In 2011, I decided to focus on a radio communications solution primarily built for military officials. We called our product the MVR900, a radio intercom that allowed multiple people the ability to simultaneously transmit and receive voice communication. Our company and solution led to a successful round of investment to become MULTIVOICE in January 2015.

Many of the previous clients I acquired while at Voyager Technologies hired my new startup company for follow-up projects. For 3M, our team created a radio frequency based traffic light synchronization and control solution. For Radio Path, we created a wireless, meter-reading technology for Multi-Dwelling Unit use, while for American Airlines, we improved air traffic communications technology for increased efficiency on the tarmac. We continued to work with Porta Phone on its football coaching system and created a solution that allowed 12 separate coaches to speak simultaneously on a 5.8GHz frequency without a base station, something that had never been done before.

I sold Voyager Technologies for $22 million to PCTEL in 2000. I stayed at Voyager Technologies to direct the company’s wireless division, specifically to explore new analog to digital wireless products.
Founder & Vice President Of Engineering
Voyager Technologies was a wireless technology design consultancy specializing in industrial and commercial communications systems. The company received a $2 million investment from the Cargill Family Trust in which the trust took on a significant minority position. Sample clients include Porta Phone, 3M, Radio Path and Litton among others. For Porta Phone, we created the first football coaching system without a base station, a system that allowed four couches to speak simultaneously over the same radio frequencies.

I directed over 40 engineers in the creation and deployment of residential and commercial security systems including smoke, fire and break-in detection. When I arrived at Radionics, the company was entirely wire-based. I was brought in to make its wired systems more efficient and, for the first time, apply wireless solutions to its established product lines.

I transitioned from military communication systems into the commercial telecommunications industry. Among my many projects, I designed and built a telecommunication switch for reselling long distance voice communications.
Engineering Consultant
As a civilian employee with Secret level clearance, I was contracted by the U.S. Air Force to improve ground-to-ground, ground-to-space and ground-to-satellite communications systems. Projects included work at the sites of the Air Force Titan II Missile systems, as well as work at the site of the 1980 Damascus, Arkansas Titan II explosion to assess and improve its faulty communications systems.
Design Engineer
With Secret level clearance, I designed all-in-one acquisition, missile tracking and target tracking radar systems that were deployed in military operations. In addition, I helped test, evaluate and develop the first Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filter, a critical technology for passive radars used in military aircraft detection.
