My law practice consists of all types of civil litigation, including family law, personal injury, and commercial litigation, in addition to working with other attorneys and law firms across the state for litigation support and legal research on contract basis. I have conducted over 100 trials in state and federal courts and I have also dealt with many issues in education law on a variety of legal subject such as issues regarding school discipline appeals, special education issues, the provisions of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act, student loan eligibility and enforcement, the ADA, administrative hearings, negotiation and litigation with local, county, state and federal government, open government and public records law, and alternative dispute resolution.While practicing law since 1989, I have gained experience in a wide range of corporate and litigation matters. Among other things, my experience and skills include drafting contracts and other contractual matters, merger & acquisition matters, and drafting disclosure documents covering federal regulatory changes for federally-insured bond issues. I have also been responsible for diverse types of civil litigation, including, but not limited to, accounting malpractice, officers’ and directors’ liability (arising from the failure of several savings and loans), general insurance law and insurance defense matters, insurance litigation (insurance defense and litigation of coverage questions), commercial litigation, banking litigation, employment litigation, professional liability litigation, and product liability litigation. In addition to litigating such matters in state and federal courts, I extensive experience in drafting coverage opinions for a variety of different types of auto, home, life, and commercial insurance policies. I also have extensive experience representing plaintiffs in various types of personal injury and family law matters.
