BrandId (https://thebrandid.com/) is a WordPress agency with many clients and several products.I was hired as a part-time contractor to work on site maintenance and two of their for-sale products (Coaching Pro and Course Maker Pro).For Course Maker Pro, I was the lead on building out Block Editor layouts and allowing the site to be installed via a one-click-install interface. Integrations with other third-party plugins (such as Easy Digital Downloads, LifterLMS) were also coded in and tweaked.For Coaching Pro, I was tasked to create a "skin" (aka, style) switcher. Coaching Pro is a genesis child theme, which has style support (but not skin support). I was given a working demo of the main skin and was tasked to make it as easy as possible to switch to another skin.This skin switcher was highly complex, utilizing WordPress 5.9's theme.json, which I decided to load conditionally for each skin. As WordPress does not support multiple theme.json files, I had to use some workarounds.Additionally, the skin switcher involved importing forms (WP Forms), widgets, customizer settings, colors, fonts, and images. The theme.json files were set up for the colors, base styles, and fonts. And the SCSS was re-worked to be more generic. As a result, skin switching was relatively painless.BrandId is a great group of people to work for and I would recommend their team for site builds and maintenance. I've never worked with more friendlier people.
