WRITING, GHOSTWRITING, EDITING, TRANSLATING, LECTURING, TRAININGI not only write my own nonfiction narratives, I have ghostwritten an inspirational, personal memoir for a client, edited a 30,000-word coming-of-age novel for another client and translated three of my own books from English to French. My rates are reasonable!Since 2012 I have focused my attention on writing. To date, I have written and published 31 books including three books in French and ten volumes of photography. My collections of essays focus primarily on France, where I lived for more than twenty years, but I have also published volumes of essays about Florida, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. My biography of a French aristocrat, François Racine de Monville (1734-1797), was published in English in 2013 and in French in 2015. On the Trail in France narrates my encounters while exploring nine regions of France on foot. IQSL: How I Traveled the World and Never Left Home was reviewed favorably in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan. In February 2021 I collaborated with French novelist and playwright Clare Béchet on Tour Eiffel Nuit, a portfolio of my color photographs of the Eiffel Tower at night accompanied by Claire Béchet’s essay.In September 2021 I published my French translation of On the Trail in France under the title RANDONNER: Un Américain découvre la France à pied.TRAININGOver twenty years of experience conducting classes in English as a Second Language (ESL), Technical English and Aviation English as well as creating and conducting management training seminars.English as a Second Language courses utilize original, learner-centered, interactive and dynamic class activities following the precept that “The less the teacher talks, the more the student learns.”Technical English and Aviation English seminars concentrate on rapid acquisition of high-frequency vocabulary and accurate comprehension of English-language technical documents. Management training seminars in Creativity, Initiative, Decision-Making, Listening and Change Management utilize team-based, collaborative learning and problem-solving techniques and include such activities as How to manage your boss, What to do when your boss turns down your great idea, How and why to design a mind-map and How to use a decision-making matrix.My mission: To share with others what I have experienced and learned in the first seven decades of my life.My vision: A world in which everyone speaks, reads, writes and understands more than one language.
