* Counsels applicants and employees in matters of licensure, job qualifications, evaluations, career pathways, resignations/termination/retirement and other professional issues* Partners with hiring managers in recruiting, interviewing, screening and making recommendations regarding personnel for employment; assists in the orientation of new personnel and provides information, direction and assistance in implementing HR policies* Participates in the resolution of employee relations issues* Participates in investigations and produces cogent reports* Represents the School Division in unemployment hearings as required by the Virginia Employment Commission and the other states as required* Reviews and assures compliance with Federal, State and other statutes and regulations affecting HR programs

• Collaborate with leadership across the University to ensure a coherent and coordinated approach to career coaching and exploration, career related resources, and employer relations;• Improve student, alumni, and employer awareness of programs and services; • Manage the Departments use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, thereby ensuring the Coaching, Exploration, and Employer Relations teams are able to accurately manage and track their relationships. • Oversee the development, implementation and coordination of evolving Career Services programs that support university priorities;• Assist in the development and management of goals related to the growth and improvement of programs and services offered;• Assist with the execution of center events and programs consistent with the departments mission;• Researched, assessed, developed and executed a collaborative employer strategy

• Responsible for the planning and execution of new initiatives, programs, and procedures for career coaching team consisting of two Managers, five Career Coaches, and team Coordinator. • Possess substantial experience in remote work and management. • Administer multiple complex programs, scholarships, and fellowship opportunities by ensuring they are adequately marketed and advertised, as well as that pertinent information is shared with students and internal departments. Efforts resulted in a 220% increase in Finalists for one program. • Managed Career Coaching teams quarterly and annual goals to ensure projects are assigned and completed. Efforts resulted in 152% increase in Career Coaching, 69% increase in resume and cover letter reviews, and 198% increase in use of career assessment tools. • Assisted in training new hires on all aspects of career coaching position, as well as provided trainings to existing members of the Career Services team to increase their knowledge of the profession. • Reviewed and shared department metrics and information for programs and services with the management team.• Provided presentations to other departments of the university to increase awareness of career services.• Provided oversight and communication to increase the awareness and utilization of the resources and services provided by the Office of Student and Alumni Affairs, thereby encouraging student retention. • Selected by Senior Leadership to serve as Co-Chair on the Foundations of Excellence, a major University initiative requiring extensive research and analysis.

Managed team of 4 individuals; assisted students and alumni with full range of career coaching needs; served as primary point of contact for Career Services Team on Presidential Management Fellows (PMF), Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP), and Truman Scholarship.

Provided relevant communications to students; provided students personalized career coaching with steps to prepare for professional success; and provided ongoing support and guidance to students as they complete their degree program and transition as alumni.
