Requirements analysis/definition, functional decomposition, Product backlog list, Design of new (commercial) functionality, Creation a WEB prototype with Alphasoftware. This all was input for the development team which started in 2009 to develop the system using Java, Ajax, Wicket, Hibernate, Oracle 10G. Using Jira for issue/change mgm. Project went live Feb 2010.

Client: Life Fitness Atlantic BV, Rotterdam, Netherlands.Project manager role to implement an European Commissionaire Structure (Undisclosed Agent/Principal Structure) in a Shared Service Centre environment at Rotterdam using Oracle Applications on central server in US as the back-end and Exact locally in Europe as the front-end application package with a “First Sale for Export Duty ruling”. Included high level conceptual design of required interfaces. Project responsible for 5 resources.

Client: Moregro. Project definition, planning, current system analysis and setting up a test configuration for Oracle GL, PO and AP rel. 10.7 GUI Smart Client at a large retail organization (Moregro, Capetown)Client Gray Securities: Current system/flow analysis and Project definition for Gray Securities (Pty) Ltd, Capetown. Large security service company with branches all over Africa. Created Business Process Flow diagram and overall Project Book for the implementation of Oracle Apps (rel. 10.7 GUI NT): GL, AP, AR, CM, FA, Time management, HR, Payroll, Alert and Financial Analyser. Proposed GL acct segment structure.

Managed the European Finance IT and Business Analysts team of the Nike European Headquarters based in Hilversum The Netherlands, in total 35 persons, which were a mix of Nike and contractor resources. Budget responsibility for the operational department and projects resources. Projects involved were the implementation of Oracle Financials (GL/PO/AP/AR/FA) in 15 countries in Europe with a total of over 30 Sets of Books, the development and implementation of a Pan-European invoicing system integrated with Oracle Financials and several other financial related projects. Reported directly to European Finance, Global Finance IT and European IT director.

Current systems analysis of Finance systems used in Europe for Nike. Selection process for a standard Financials package which resulted in selecting Oracle financials out a short-list which consisted of SAP, JD Edwards, CODA, Oracle and BPCS. The selected solution was adopted worldwide by Nike as the Financials application solution to implement a Global Chart of Accounts integrated with their systems to support a European Commissionaire System for Order Entry and centralised warehousing. IT project lead to implement the application at the European Headquarters. Involved also with changing local country systems interfacing with centralised MVS based order processing and centralised European warehousing system. Intermediary between European and US based resources. Hands on experience with GL/AP/AR/FA configuration setup 9.4.2 and tools like RPT, Unix, sql*plus.

Responsible for the scheduling of user systems requests, initial system analysis and design, work assignment to developers, testing and implementation. Reported to department IT manager. Learned IBM RPG programming language and UNIX/Informix development tools. Developed several applications dealing with the Core CITI Bank package which ran on an IBM S/38. Helped design and project managed the testing and implementation of a bank intermediary system which ran on an Informix rdbms/C/Videotex environment.

Responsible for IT operations of Netherlands and French branch of an International oriented commodity trading company in oil, chemicals, steel and pharmaceuticals. 5 resources reporting to him. Regular travel between Dutch and French office. Budget responsible. Selected a standard commodity trade package. Project managed implementation at European sites. IBM AS/400, COBOL oriented. Reported to European Director.
