Dr. Ronald L. Klaus began working in Ethiopia since 2004 as the Ethiopia Director for Hope In View, a non-profit organization. He works with religious leaders in Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox churches to help them become more effective in ministering to their people. He emphasizes discipleship through small groups, biblical economic development, and the theology of the kingdom of God. He has taught at the Ethiopian Evangelical Theological College, the Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology, the Mekane Yesus Seminary, the Pentecostal Theological College, and Meserete Kristos College. He has also given many shorter seminars throughout Ethiopia. He serves as an advisor to the Addis Kidan Baptist Church denomination and the Evangelical Student and Graduates Union of Ethiopia. In addition, he mentors a select group of key leaders who have influence over large numbers of people.For twenty years previously, Ron Klaus served in pastoral ministry in three cities in the USA. During that time he also taught in seminaries and Bible schools in the USA, Nigeria, Kenya, Mongolia, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Peru. He has a particular interest in the intersection between science and faith. Ron started his career in engineering, receiving a B.Ch.E. and Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy NY. He worked in the US space program at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, taught chemical engineering and computer science at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and later became Director of Applications at VAST Power Systems in Elkhart, Indiana. Ron continues his interest in science, math, and computer applications. With dual careers in science and Christian ministry, he has also written on the relationship between science and faith.
